1. Download from an official source
Use entcoin.xyz or the official GitHub Releases page. Use the newest stable release and verify the published SHA-256 checksum before running a downloaded file. Do not install a wallet sent through a direct message or an unofficial download page.
2. Back up the wallet before receiving or mining
On first use, Entcoin creates a local wallet. Record its 24-word recovery phrase offline, in order, where other people and cloud applications cannot read it. You may also export an encrypted .entwallet backup and keep its password separately.
The recovery phrase or verified .entwallet file can restore the wallet on another supported computer. The blockchain can be downloaded again; the wallet keys cannot. Never test a backup by pasting it into a website, forum, chat, screenshot, or support form.
3. Let the node synchronize
Opening the desktop application runs a fully validating node. Wait until it has peers and reaches the network tip before relying on the displayed balance or sending a transfer. Mining is off until you explicitly start it.
A transaction appearing in the mempool is relayed but not yet confirmed. Block timing is a target, not a guarantee. Mining rewards remain locked for 100 blocks and become spendable only after maturity.
4. Understand what the forum can and cannot do
Forum registration uses email only. The forum cannot see, recover, reset, or validate your wallet. No moderator needs your recovery phrase, private key, wallet backup, backup password, or verification code to help diagnose a problem.

2. 收款或挖矿前先备份钱包
Entcoin 首次使用时会在本机创建钱包。请按顺序离线记录 24 个恢复词，保存在他人和云端应用无法读取的地方。你也可以导出加密的 .entwallet 备份，并把备份密码分开保存。

3. 等待节点同步
打开桌面应用时，你已经在运行一个完整验证节点。请等到节点建立连接并追上网络链尖，再依赖显示的余额或发送交易。挖矿默认关闭，只有你主动开启后才会运行。
交易进入内存池只表示已经转发，不代表已经确认。出块时间是目标值，不是保证。挖矿奖励需要等待 100 个区块成熟后才能使用。
4. 明确论坛的能力边界
论坛只使用邮箱注册，不能查看、恢复、重置或验证你的钱包。管理员协助排查问题时不需要你的恢复词、私钥、钱包备份、备份密码或验证码。
